'Incandescent, Electric'

EP cover for Matt Kollock's 'Incandescent, Electric'

It’s all been leading up to this:

I’ve just released a major project, Incandescent, Electric on all the streaming services.

Incandescent, Electric is a collection of five modern psychedelic spirituals, and I’m very proud of it.

The EP contains the singles “We Can Levitate,” “The Road That Takes Us Home” and “Wait To Walk Into The Light” in addition to a couple of previously unreleased tracks. The vibes are high on this one.

Origins

The songs were written mostly back in 2018. Back when I was getting into the flow of writing and performing music after a long, long layoff. Back when I was going on lots and lots of spiritual journeys via psilocybin mushrooms.

In a way, it’s a collaboration with a younger, greener, less cynical version of myself. Each of us with something important to teach the other. Sparks!

I recorded the EP during sessions here in my home studio last summer and fall. It was a lot of fun! I wasn’t sure what was going to come from those sessions, but I believe these five tracks fit together supernaturally well. Like they were meant to share a home with each other.

Tones

Sonically, it’s another different sound for me. More compression, less reverb. In fact, there is very little reverb to speak of on the EP. It’s tight and in your face. Dry. Vocals more naked than I have ever allowed them to be.

I think you’re really going to enjoy the EP, so please listen on your streamer of choice.

Of course, you can also show your support by purchasing the EP on Bandcamp, where I've made the whole thing available for just $5!

Thank you, as always, for paying attention to the stuff I’m doing!
