I’m excited any time I release new music. But I am super especially notably excited about the song I just released on June 3, 2025. The track is a chilled-out ballad and a genuine head bobber. And I think it’s one of the best songs I’ve written.
The song is called “The Road That Takes Us Home,” and I think you’re really going to dig it.
Like my previous single, “We Can Levitate,” this song is rooted in the tenets of my brand of psychedelic spirituality. But I go deeper on this one. Slower. More considerate, more chill. With a groove to match the deep level of contemplation at play.
“The Road That Takes Us Home” features lots of internal rhymes, lyrically. Lots of Ram Dass and Joseph Campbell-type references, too, naturally. It deals with life and death — the stakes are high! At the same time, it’s grounded in real-life, everyday sentiment.
I think it’s about recognizing and accepting the frustrations inherent to walking a spiritual path, as well as the challenges of communicating effectively with others who have their own ideas about the rules of this road. Stuff like that. I wonder what you’ll think it’s about.
For this one, I’d like you to really settle in and focus. Plant yourself in your favorite chair. Prepare a nice beverage. Pack a bowl. Get your breathing right.
Okay? Great! You’re going to dig it the most.
Stream “The Road That Takes Us Home” on Spotify or wherever you get your music!

Cover art for the single was created by my sweetie, Annie Sanchez. Nice!
I also created a fun “visualizer” video for the song, this time using old archival Public Domain footage that I edited together. Somehow it adds up to something greater than the sum of its parts. I discovered and uncovered some truly wild synchronicities while I was editing it. Magical! Check it out!
Let me know what you think, won't you?
As always, thank you for reading, listening and watching!
